Abstract(s)
insucesso escolar e, problemas do foro mental.
Several studies shows that the phenomena of Bullying and aggressiveness in school contexts have been increasing in the last years. The impact of this have consequences at a physical, psychological, emotional and academic level, and can lead to demotivation, academic failure and mental problems. The studies reveal that learning is related to emotions, and that the brain associates emotions with pleasant and/or unpleasant moments and therefore it is essential that the school constitutes a welcoming space, facilitating learning, emotional bonds and encourage empathy and mutual respect. Starting from the social diagnosis of a stigmatized school and territorial context in the city of Porto, the work presented here constitutes a project work that aims to reduce and prevent situations of Bullying/aggression in a school context and also to raise awareness and train educational agents to the importance of communication and conflict management. Approaching the participatory-action methodology research, activities were planned and developed that included skills work sessions with children, as well as with educational agents. At the end of the intervention project, we carry out this evaluation where we identify the effects on children's behaviors and attitudes. This work project consolidates the importance of early intervention in terms of raising awareness about the processes of aggression and Bullying, particularly among children from socially disadvantaged areas.
