Abstract(s)

A prestação de cuidados de enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica tem evoluído significativamente, muito impulsionada pela grande revolução tecnológica característica do nosso tempo. Um evento inesperado, como uma situação crítica de doença, sistematicamente afeta tanto a Pessoa em Situação Crítica como também se repercute profundamente no seu seio familiar. Neste contexto, é essencial que o Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica reconheça a família como um elemento central nos cuidados prestados. É assim fundamental que capacite, apoie e cuide a família tornando-a parte integrante do plano de cuidados. Esta inclusão torna-se assim o elo essencial para a prestação de cuidados de excelência, assumindo o Enfermeiro Especialista um enorme propósito na sensibilização da equipa de cuidados de saúde para esta problemática. Na realização do presente Relatório de Estágio, recorremos a uma metodologia reflexiva e análise crítica do percurso formativo, espelhando a aquisição de conhecimentos e o desenvolvimento das competências preconizadas para a atribuição do título de Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica e Mestre em Enfermagem. Este percurso formativo, incluiu para além da componente teórica, estágio em três contextos clínicos diferentes, nomeadamente, Serviço de Urgência Geral, Unidade de Transplantes e Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos Polivalente. Conceptualmente, este Relatório tem como referencial teórico de enfermagem, a Teoria de Médio Alcance de Afaf Meleis, a Teoria das Transições. Todo o nosso percurso foi norteado pelo Regulamento de Competências Comuns do Enfermeiro Especialista, pelo Regulamento de Competências Específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica e pelos descritores de Dublin definidos para o Grau de Mestre em Enfermagem.

The provision of nursing care to the Person in Critical Situation has evolved significantly, greatly influenced by the technological revolution characteristic of our time. An unexpected event, such as a critical illness situation, systematically impacts both the Person in Critical Situation and profoundly affects their family. In this context, it is essential for the Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing to the Person in Critical Situation to recognize the family as a central element in the care provided. Therefore, it is fundamental to empower, support, and care for the family, making it an integral part of the care plan. This inclusion thus becomes the essential link for the provision of excellent care, with the Nurse Specialist bearing a significant responsibility in raising the awareness of the healthcare team regarding this issue. In the preparation of this Internship Report, we adopted a reflexive methodology and critical analysis of the educational journey, reflecting the acquisition of knowledge and the development of the competencies advocated for the conferment of the title of Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing to the Person in Critical Situation and Master's in Nursing. This educational journey included, in addition to the theoretical component, internships in three different clinical contexts, namely, the General Emergency Service, the Transplant Unit, and the Polivalent Intensive Care Unit. Conceptually, this report is theoretically grounded in Afaf Meleis' Middle-Range Theory, the Theory of Transitions. Our entire journey has been guided by the Common Competency Regulation for Nurse Specialists, the Specific Competency Regulation for the Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing to the Person in Critical Situation, and by the Dublin descriptors defined for the Master's degree in Nursing.
