Abstract(s)
É ainda salientada a
With the growing popularity of Nature Sports and Active Tourism in Portugal and around the world, it is essential to monitor the changes that are being felt in the most diverse associated sectors. Within the scope of the Master's in Tourism, Innovation in Active and Experienced Tourism Branch, offered by Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies, a curricular internship was carried out with two distinct purposes. The first, which concerns the internship component itself, aimed to understand the current teaching dynamics and develop pedagogical skills at Escola Superior de Rio Maior - Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, through participation in teaching curricular units in the Degree in Nature Sports and Active Tourism at this school. The second purpose, concerning its scientific dimension, aimed to contribute to a better knowledge of the tourist entertainment subsector, by monitoring technological developments of tourist entertainment companies that sell outdoor/adventure tourism products. With this goal, a study was developed about the digital maturity of tourist entertainment companies in Portugal. A digital maturity assessment tool was created and applied to companies in the area under study through an online questionnaire. This study highlighted the global need to increase investments in digital innovation, resources, training, strategies and the use of customer-centric metrics, in order to boost companies' digital innovation. The predominance of micro and small companies in the sector is also highlighted, which can influence their levels of digital innovation.
