Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação, utiliza a metodologia de estudo de caso, para estudar as práticas de
Responsabilidade Social e Ambiental numa empresa Portuguesa, cuja atividade principal é a
comercialização de café (cafés Delta). O Grupo Nabeiro é caracterizado pela sua grande
intervenção social que se inicia na imersão de toda a organização na visão partilhada, e que
reflete também, a essência da pessoa que é o carismático fundador, o senhor comendador
Manuel Rui Azinhais Nabeiro. Este espectro contributivo, com início na visão individual e
humanista do fundador, é certamente, num panorama contemporâneo, suportado e alimentado
pela influência de uma responsabilidade social.
Neste estudo é pretendido compreender se o Grupo Nabeiro é de facto uma empresa que
tem implementada na sua gestão, práticas de responsabilidade social. Pretende-se também
compreender se a preocupação com os Stakeholders é importante para a empresa,
principalmente o seu capital humano, os colaboradores.
Exemplo disso, é a recente parceria entre a Delta Cafés e a Nãm Urban Farm. Esta
parceria nasce da ideia de reutilizar as borras de café, como composto residual enquanto
fertilizante biológico, na produção de cogumelos. Segundo o CEO do Grupo Nabeiro, este
projeto é resultado da conciliação da sustentabilidade com a rentabilidade, através de um projeto
de economia circular, reduzindo a pegada ecológica.
Neste estudo de caso são abordados os conceitos de Responsabilidade Social
Corporativa, Sustentabilidade (económica, social e ambiental), e que estratégias está o Grupo
Nabeiro a implementar por forma a responder a estes desafios (responsabilidade social e
ambiental) cada vez mais importantes e que necessitam de estratégias efetivas.
This dissertation uses the case study methodology applied to the Nabeiro Group to study the practices of Social and Environmental Responsibility in a Portuguese SME, whose main activity is the commercialization of coffee (Delta coffees). Nabeiro Group is characterized by its great social intervention that begins with the immersion of the entire organization in the shared vision, which also reflects the essence of the person who is the charismatic founder, Commander Manuel Rui Azinhais Nabeiro. This contributory spectrum, beginning with the founder's individual and humanist vision, is certainly, in a contemporary scenario, supported and fed by the influence of social responsibility. In this study it is intended to understand if the Nabeiro Group is in fact an SME that has implemented social responsibility practices in its management. It is also intended to understand if the concern with the Stakeholders is important for the company, especially its human capital, the employees. An example of this, is the recent partnership between Delta Cafés and Nãm Urban Farm. This partnership is born from the idea of reusing coffee grounds, as residual compost as a biological fertilizer, in the production of mushrooms. According to the CEO of Nabeiro Group, this project is the result of reconciling sustainability with profitability, through a circular economy project, reducing the ecological footprint. This case study will address the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability (economic, social and environmental), and which strategies are being implemented by Nabeiro Group in order to respond to these increasingly important challenges (social and environmental responsibility) that need effective strategies.
