Abstract(s)
Enfermagem Perioperatória;
Perioperatória;
a terapêutica anestésica.
responsabilidade do Enfermeiro Perioperatório.
Abstract: This report was conducted under the Master in Perioperative Nursing, School of Health Sciences, Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. In developing, it was proposed, on 3rd Semester, a stage during which we must develop a project to improve care for that service. The goals of the stage were: To promote the development of skills in the clinical context of Perioperative Nursing; To promote the development of skills of ethical decision making and clinical nursing, and the specific context of perioperative nursing; Apply the methodology for project identification, planning and problem solving research in the context of practice. During Stage was detected that nurses, an operating theater of a Paediatric Hospital in Lisbon, had the perception that errors related to the analgesic therapy could occur. To understand whether this perception was real, we applied questionnaires confirmed the situation. The preparation and administration of anesthetic therapy are the responsibility of the Perioperative Nurse. After conducting a literature search, we identify that factors such as inexperience, pediatric users, unaware of the dose drug / share / Kg weight of the child can be inductive for errors. To tackle this problem, we thought of implementing a computer system to assist the preparation of anesthetic drugs. This is already in use since the mid-90s in another operation theatre, having been built by nurses for nurses. The same was implemented in the service and the results were evaluated. The results corresponded to or expectations, nurses say the Pedrug - system in question - can prevent errors related to anesthesia therapy and is an asset to the operating theater in question. This report is the result of the project to implement of the system in the operating theater of a Paediatric Hospital in Lisbon, which allowed the development of specific skills Nurse Master in Perioperative Nursing. The reflection of the common and specific skills of the master in Perioperative Nursing nurse was very constructive and fruitful, helping to raise awareness of the skills acquired throughout the academic and professional process, and the perception of other areas that can be developed in the future.
