Abstract(s)
Este estudo tem como propósito investigar de forma retrospetiva a incidência de tumores benignos e lesões tumoriformes que afetam a cavidade oral em uma população portuguesa ao longo de um período de dez anos.
A cavidade oral é uma região complexa do corpo humano, suscetível a diversas condições patológicas que envolvem tanto tumores benignos como lesões tumoriformes. O conhecimento detalhado e eficaz sobre a prevalência e a distribuição dessas ocorrências especificas na população portuguesa é de considerável importância para um diagnostico preciso e um tratamento adequado.
Para alcançar esse objetivo, será realizado um levantamento minucioso de dados de pacientes diagnosticados com tumores benignos e/ou lesões tumoriformes na cavidade oral ao longo do período de dez anos.
Além disso, pretende-se comparar os resultados obtidos com estudos similares realizados em outras populações internacionais.
Através desta investigação, espera-se auxiliar os profissionais de saúde oral no diagnostico precoce, no tratamento adequado e na melhor prestação de serviços e cuidados de saúde oral à população portuguesa.
This study aims to retrospectively investigate the incidence of benign tumors and tumor-like lesions affecting the oral cavity in a Portuguese population over a period of ten years. The oral cavity is a complex region of the human body, susceptible to various pathological conditions involving both benign tumors and tumor-like lesions. Detailed and effective knowledge about the prevalence and distribution of these specific occurrences in the Portuguese population is of considerable importance for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. To achieve this objective, a thorough data collection will be carried out on patients diagnosed with benign tumors and/or tumor-like lesions in the oral cavity over the ten-year period. Furthermore, the intention is to compare the obtained results with similar studies conducted in other international populations. Through this research, it is hoped to assist oral health professionals in early diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and the provision of better oral healthcare services to the Portuguese population.
