Abstract(s)
A adolescência é caracterizada por um desenvolvimento humano célere das
características físicas, cognitivas e psicossociais e é por isso considerada um
importante período para a aprendizagem de comportamentos que conduzem à
promoção da saúde (World Health Organization [WHO], 2022).
A educação para os afetos e sexualidade é componente essencial na
formação na adolescência e a escola é considerada o local ideal para a promoção
da educação sexual (ES).
Foi realizado um projeto de intervenção em Enfermagem Comunitária, com o
objetivo geral capacitar os professores para a promoção da ES dos adolescentes
em meio escolar. Este integrou o projeto europeu - Prevention of Sexual
Harassment in Secondary Schools (SHEHAP).
O projeto foi desenvolvido seguindo a Metodologia do Planeamento em
Saúde e foi alicerçado no referencial teórico de enfermagem do Modelo de
Promoção de Saúde de Nola Pender (MPSNP). Foi aplicado o Questionário de
Avaliação de Atitudes dos Professores face à Educação Sexual (QAAPES) de Reis
& Vilar e o questionário elaborado pelo projeto SHEHAP a 18 professores de uma
escola do ensino secundário.
No Diagnóstico de Situação identificaram-se problemas ao nível da formação
dos professores na área da ES, assédio sexual (AS) e ao nível da comunicação
entre professores e alunos. A Educação para a Saúde (EpS) e a comunicação em
saúde foram as estratégias utilizadas para reduzir os problemas de saúde
encontrados.
Este projeto contribuiu para aumentar os conhecimentos e a formação dos
professores face à ES e AS. Espera-se desta forma também contribuir para uma
sexualidade saudável e respeitosa na adolescência, com ganhos em saúde.
Adolescence is characterized by a rapid human development of physical, cognitive and psychosocial characteristics and is therefore considered an important period for learning behaviours that lead to health promotion (WHO, 2022). Education for affections and sexuality is an essential component of training in adolescence and the school is considered the ideal place for promote sexual education. An intervention project was conducted in Community Nursing, with the general objective of empowering teachers to promote the sexual education of adolescents in school environment. This was part of a European project - Prevention of Sexual Harassment in Secondary Schools (SHEHAP). The project was developed following the Health Planning Methodology and was based on the nursing theoretical reference of Nola Pender's Health Promotion Model. The Questionnaire of Evaluation of Attitudes of Teachers towards Sex Education (QAAPES) by Reis & Vilar, and a questionnaire elaborated by the SHEHAP projet was applied to 18 secondary school teachers. The Situation Diagnosis identified problems in terms of teacher training in the area of sexual education, sexual harassment and in terms of communication between teachers and students. Health education and health communication were the strategies used to reduce the health problems encountered. This project contributed to increase teachers' knowledge and training on sexual education and sexual harassment. It is hoped in this way also to contribute to a healthy and respectful sexuality in adolescence, with gains in health.
