Abstract(s)
Este relatório surge no âmbito da unidade curricular Projeto/Estágio do 2º Curso de
Mestrado em Enfermagem Perioperatória (MEPO), realizado pela Escola Superior de Saúde do
Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, nos anos letivos de 2017/2018 e 2018/2019, sendo fruto do
trabalho desenvolvido em contexto de estágio no Bloco Operatório (BO) no hospital X e do
Projeto de Intervenção em Serviço realizado neste mesmo contexto. Este incide sobre
aprendizagens teórico-práticas e reflexivas assim como no desenvolvimento de competências
adquiridas ao longo do curso. Pretende igualmente expor o trabalho desenvolvido em estágio,
alicerçado na metodologia de projeto, centrado na identificação de um problema real. A
problemática desenvolvida relaciona-se com a Prestação de Cuidados Seguros a Utentes com
Hipersensibilidade ao Látex, surgindo como uma necessidade manifesta pela ausência de medidas
de procedimento implementadas neste âmbito no hospital X.
A alergia ao látex consiste numa reação do sistema imunitário quando exposto às
proteínas do látex (heveínas), traduzindo-se em evidência clínica, sendo que a sintomatologia
apresentada varia de pessoa para pessoa quer no tipo como na gravidade das manifestações. No
BO esta é uma problemática a valorizar, uma vez que aqui se encontra uma maior concentração
de partículas alergénicas relativamente a outros sectores hospitalares, sendo fundamental a
definição de estratégias de atuação no seio multidisciplinar, garantido um ambiente seguro para a
prestação de cuidados de qualidade.
Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, identificadas as práticas seguras a ter
perante um utente com hipersensibilidade ao látex e implementadas as medidas indicadas,
resultando na criação de um questionário de triagem para utentes com hipersensibilidade ao
látex, na aquisição de pulseiras para a identificação de utentes alérgicos e respetiva operação
instrucional, criação de uma checklist para preparação da sala operatória, protocolo de atuação
para prestação de cuidados a utentes com hipersensibilidade ao látex no pré, intra e pós
operatório, sinalética para identificação da sala/processo/cama ou unidade do utente com
hipersensibilidade ao látex e listagem de material com presença de látex.
This report is part of the course of the 2nd Master's Course in Perioperative Nursing, developed by the Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, in the academic years of 2017/2018 and 2018/2019, being the Internship Report the final work of masters. This work was developed in the operating room context, in hospital X, and the Intervention Project in Service carried out in this same context. This focuses on theoretical-practical and reflexive learning as well as on the development of skills of the master nurse in Perioperative Nursing acquired throughout the course. It also intends to expose the work developed in an internship, based on the project methodology, focused on the identification of a real problem. The developed problem is related to the Provision of Safe Care to Patients with Latex Hypersensitivity, arising from the absence of procedural measures implemented in hospital X. Latex allergy consists of a reaction of the immune system when exposed to latex proteins (heveínas), translating into clinical evidence, and the symptomatology presented varies from person to person, in both the type and severity of the manifestations. In the OR this is a problem to be valued, since here is a greater concentration of allergenic particles in relation to other hospital sectors, being essential the definition of strategies of action in the multidisciplinary team, guaranteeing a safe environment for the provision of quality care. An integrative review of the literature was carried out, the safe practices were identified with a patient with latex hypersensitivity and the indicated measures were implemented in practice, resulting in the creation of a screening questionnaire for patients with hypersensitivity to latex, in the acquisition of bracelets for the identification of allergic patients and their respective instructional operation, creation of a checklist for preparation of the operating room, protocol for the care of patients with hypersensitivity to latex in the pre, intra and postoperative period, signage for identification of the room / process / bed or unit of the patient with hypersensitivity to the latex and listing of material with presence of latex.
