O presente relatório de estágio profissional relata o percurso realizado durante o Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica num hospital de referência do Norte do país, cujos objetivos são descrever, analisar e refletir de forma crítica as atividades que contribuíram para a aquisição de competências específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Saúde Materna e Obstétrica.
Sendo a conceção de cuidados uma etapa fundamental para a aquisição das competências específicas, conforme o Regulamento de Competências Específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica n.º 391/2019, foram explanados ao longo deste relatório quatro casos clínicos e os respetivos planos de cuidados especializados e individualizados, referentes ao trabalho de parto e parto, gravidez com complicações e pós-parto.
Face à necessidade de desenvolver conhecimento e procurar as mais recentes evidências científicas que suportam a atuação do enfermeiro especialista, conforme descrito nas competências comuns inerentes a este, foi realizada uma revisão narrativa sobre as barreiras percebidas, pelo Enfermeiros Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica e as puérperas, ao contacto pele com pele no período de internamento pós-parto.
Este percurso permitiu adquirir competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica e refletir sobre as melhores práticas de cuidados especializados, fundamental para a melhoria da prática clínica.
This professional internship report outlines the journey undertaken during the Master's Degree in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing at a reference hospital in the northern region of the country. The objectives of this report are to describe, analyze and critically reflect upon the activities that contributed to the development of specific competencies required of the Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing. Given that care planning is a fundamental step in acquiring these specific competencies as established by the Regulation of Specific Competencies for the Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing (Regulation No. 391/2019), this report presents four clinical case studies, each accompanied by individualized and specialized care plans. These case studies address various contexts, including labor and delivery, high-risk pregnancy, and the postpartum period. In response to the need to advance knowledge and seek the latest scientific evidence supporting the Specialist Nurse’s practice, as described in the common competencies attributed to this professional role, a narrative review was conducted on the perceived barriers to skin-to-skin contact during the postpartum hospitalization period, as experienced by both Specialist Nurses in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing and postpartum women. This experiential and reflective process enabled the development of competencies specific to the Specialist Nurse in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing, while also promoting critical reflection on best practices in specialized care, an essential aspect for the continuous improvement of clinical practice.
