Abstract(s)
Ergonomics is the dentist's tool that allows him to perform treatments more effectively and without consequences for his health. In addition to the optimization and improvement of productivity during the performance of the clinical activity of the dentist, Ergonomics, nowadays, is synonymous with prevention (Gupta & al., 2014). Thus, Ergonomics classes are, throughout the dental course, fundamental hours for learning a proper and safe posture for the execution of any clinical act be it merely observational or restorative, with the aim of reducing as much as possible the physical stress and the possibility of occurrence of musculoskeletal pain in dentists (Partido, 2017). Using the instrument Compliance Assessment of Dental Ergonomic Posture Requirements (CADEP) (Garcia & al., 2018), we intend to assess the application of the contents taught in the Ergonomics Curricular Unit of the 3rd year of the integrated master’s degree in dental medicine by 4th and 5th year students.
