objetivos para a investigação: i) compreender de que forma a voz da criança era ouvida;
This report is part of the Master’s Degree in Pre-School Education and focuses on the theme “The importance of enhancing children’s participation in routine moments in early childhood education”. To explore the topic, I outlined the following objectives for the study: i) understand how the child’s voice was heard; ii) promote children’s participation in routine moments through pilotage instruments; iii) understand the impact that pilotage instruments have on children’s participation in routine moments. In this sense, through the interventions carried out during the internship moments, in both Nursery and Kindergarten contexts, I sought to answer the following study’s question: What is the impact of pilotage instruments on children’s participation in routine moments in Nursery and Kindergarten? Regarding the methodology used, it is a qualitative study that follows the principles of a research-action approach. To carry it out, I used various techniques and instruments for data collection, such as observation and semi-structured interviews, field notes, and multimedia records. All these procedures were essential in conducting and analyzing the interventions I carried out in both contexts. Concerning the interventions, I present their characterization followed by a reflective resume in which I intend to present my intentions, challenges/constraints I encountered, and significant lessons regarding the theme I set out to investigate. In this sense, with the study, I was able to understand the importance of enhancing children’s participation in routine moments, as well as in organizing them. According to what I observed and reflected on throughout my experience in the educational environment, I understood that children who were more frequently involved and participated in routine moments, as well as in organizing them, developed a greater critical sense and responsibility towards the events they experienced. In my view, by enhancing moments in which we value the participation and involvement of the child based on the pilotage instruments, we are contributing to an environment rich in learning, where children feel they belong and are heard by the entire education community.
