Abstract(s)
A Acessibilidade é um conceito amplo com várias dimensões, consiste na
simplicidade de acesso e desfrute de ambientes, produtos e serviços por qualquer pessoa
e em diferentes contextos. Promover a Acessibilidade é uma premissa para o pleno
exercício de direitos de cidadania, contribuindo para o bem-estar e qualidade de vida. A
eliminação das barreiras físicas e sociais promovem uma adaptação mais eficaz e
integrada da pessoa na sociedade, fortalecendo os seus papéis e relações interpessoais.
O Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Reabilitação analisa a
problemática da funcionalidade da pessoa cuidada, da limitação, da atividade e da
restrição à participação na sociedade, com vista ao desenvolvimento e à implementação
de ações autónomas e/ou pluridisciplinares de acordo com o enquadramento social,
político e económico proporcionando uma consciência social inclusiva.
Como objetivos gerais definiram-se desenvolver competências científicas,
técnicas, éticas e humanas para o cuidado especializado à pessoa com necessidade de
cuidados de Enfermagem de Reabilitação (ER), ao longo do ciclo de vida, e à sua rede de
suporte, dando especial importância à intervenção no âmbito da Acessibilidade e
sensibilizar os enfermeiros nos locais de Estágio sobre a responsabilidade acrescida como
agentes promotores de ambientes acessíveis. Assim, partindo da realização dos
diagnósticos de situação, definiram-se objetivos e estruturaram-se atividades de forma a
dar resposta às necessidades identificadas.
As atividades desenvolvidas adaptadas às necessidades identificadas em cada
contexto de Estágio, aliadas à evidência científica atualizada e ao pensamento crítico e
reflexivo, proporcionaram o desenvolvimento das competências mencionadas, bem como
o respeito pela dignidade e pelos Direitos Humanos das pessoas, aspetos fundamentais
para uma prática de Enfermagem Especializada de qualidade. Permitiram, igualmente,
um desenvolvimento académico, contribuindo para um olhar atento ao caminho da
excelência nos cuidados.
Acessibility is a broad concept with several dimensions, consisting of easy access to environments, products and services by anyone in different contexts. Promoting accessibility is a prerequisite for the full exercise of citizenship rights, contributing to well-being and quality of life. The elimination of physical and social barriers promotes a more effective an integrative adaptation of the person in society, strengthening their roles and interpersonal relationships. The Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist analyses the problem of the cared-for person´s functionality, limitation, activity and restriction to participation in society, whit a view to develop and implement autonomous and/or multidisciplinary actions in accordance whit the social, political and economic framework, providing an inclusive social awareness. The goals of this work were to develop scientific, technical, ethical and human skills for the specialized care of people and their support network in need of Rehabilitation Nursing care throughout the life, with special emphasis on intervention in the field of Accessibility and to raise awareness among nurses at the internship sites of their responsibility as agents promoting accessible environments. Thus, based on the diagnosis of the situation, objectives were defined, and activities were structured in order to respond to the identified needs. The activities developed, were adapted to the needs identified in each internship context, combined with up-to-date scientific evidence and critical-reflective thinking, allowing the development of the competences as well as respect for people`s dignity and human rights, fundamental aspects for quality specialized nursing practice, and also allowing for academic development, contributing to an attentive look at the path to excellence in care.
