Este projeto de investigação visa estudar a forma como a Era
Digital impactou a expressão da comunidade Queer. A
representação da realidade Queer foi limitada em variados
contextos ao longo dos tempos, obrigando a comunidade a
encontrar ferramentas para se expressar no seu dia-a-dia, na arte
que produz e no conteúdo em que se vê retratada. A entrada
numa era dominada pela internet e consequentemente pelas
redes sociais, faz com que exista uma mudança na forma como
estabelecemos ligações, consumimos e produzimos conteúdo.
Todos estes fatores parecem ter vindo mudar a forma como a
comunidade interage entre si e também a forma como se mostra
ao mundo, acompanhando a mudança de paradigma do
consumo e produção de imagem.
This research project aims to study how the Digital Age has impacted the expression of the Queer community. The representation of Queer reality has been limited in various contexts over time, forcing the community to find tools to express themselves in their daily lives, in the art they produce and in the content in which they see themselves portrayed. The entry into an era dominated by the internet and consequently by social media, causes a change in the way we establish connections, consume and produce content. All these factors seem to have changed the way the community interacts with each other and also the way it shows itself to the world, following the shift in consumption and image production.
