Violence among intimate partners is a multidimensional phenomenon with significant social impact, currently classified as a public health problem. This study aims to develop and implement a health education intervention program for students at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, as well as to analyze its impact, fostering skills that will lead to healthy romantic relationships. Methodology: Study with pre-post test design, with evaluation before (T0) and after the intervention (T1). To carry out the research project, the following instruments were used: 1) Sociodemographic Questionnaire; 2) Belief Scale about Marital Violence (ECVC); 3) Marital Violence Inventory (IVC); and 4) Intervention Evaluation. The initial sample consisted of 41 students, with an average age of 25.05 (SD = 8.23), of which 7 participated in the intervention project. Results: The results reveal that the factors present in the ECVC have significantly lower averages than in the original study. In the IVC, victimization in past relationships had the highest average (M = 21.51), revealing that, although the majority of the sample was not currently in abusive situations, there were past intimate relationships in which they experienced violent behavior. In the ECVC, very strong correlations were found between its factors, and in the IVC, a strong correlation was found, especially between current perpetration and victimization. Conclusion: The results indicate the importance of developing awareness-raising and prevention initiatives, especially among younger populations. In this regard, it is essential to address sociocultural issues and deconstruct common myths, as societies are deeply rooted and difficult to change, especially in a short period of time.
