Abstract(s)
Como consequência de um mercado cada vez mais competitivo e crescente valorização das
necessidades dos clientes, muitas empresas têm vindo a adoptar políticas de gestão da
qualidade como forma de garantir a satisfação dos seus clientes e restantes stakeholders.
Com este trabalho, pretende-se constatar, por via exploratória, se realmente a
implementação e certificação de sistemas de gestão da qualidade são sinónimos de
melhoria contínua e obtenção de vantagem competitiva, ou se constituem apenas um
constrangimento imposto às empresas pela pressão do mercado. Para abordar esta
problemática, foi elaborado um estudo de caso na empresa Brisa Inovação e Tecnologia.
Constatou-se que a gestão da qualidade pode constituir um verdadeiro recurso estratégico
para as empresas se houver compromisso da gestão e envolvimento dos colaboradores.

It was found that quality management might be a real strategic asset for companies if there is management commitment and employee involvement.
