O crescente ambiente de incerteza e complexidade com que as forças militares se deparam
nas modernas operaçÔes militares em ambiente operacional, exigem que o lĂder militar
demonstre adaptabilidade e seja eficaz na sua atuação.
No decorrer do exercĂcio da sua liderança sĂŁo diversas as condiçÔes, circunstĂąncias e
fatores que influenciam e afetam as suas decisÔes. Liderar em ambiente operacional exige
lĂderes capazes de compreender e avaliar rapidamente as situaçÔes e tomar decisĂ”es eficientes.
Hoje mais do que nunca, o papel do lĂder como gestor do stresse operacional da sua unidade
e dos seus homens Ă© determinante e, leva a que ele seja detentor de determinadas valĂȘncias
que lhe permitam lidar eficazmente com situaçÔes adversas e ter sucesso. SĂŁo inĂșmeros
os desafios e tendĂȘncias para os quais os lĂderes terĂŁo de estar preparados num contexto
operacional futuro. DaĂ que a formação de um lĂder para atuar em ambiente operacional
constitua um dos pilares fundamentais para o desenvolvimento das suas competĂȘncias.
Neste sentido, este artigo tem como objetivo identificar um conjunto de indicadores e
competĂȘncias nucleares que potenciam o desempenho do lĂder e que mais contribuem para
a eficåcia da liderança em ambiente operacional.
The growing environment of uncertainty and complexity with which the military faced in modern military operations in the operational environment, require that the military leader demonstrates adaptability and effective in its performance. During the course of his leadership there are several conditions, circumstances and factors that influence and affect their decisions. Lead on operational environment requires leaders who can understand and quickly assess situations and make efficient decisions. Today more than ever, the leaderâs role as manager of operational stress of his unit and his men is decisive and takes it to be the holder of certain valences to enable it to deal effectively with adversity and succeed. There are countless challenges and trends for which leaders must be prepared in future operational context. Hence the formation of a leader to act on operational environment was one of the key pillars for the development of their skills. In this sense, this article aims to identify a set of indicators and core competencies that enhance the performance of the leader and that contribute most to leadership effectiveness in an operational environment.
