| dc.description.abstract | A formação em Técnicas de Intervenção Policial é uma área pouco estudada. Existe, por isso, uma lacuna em conhecer o quão preparados se sentem os alunos e os Oficiais de Polícia, do Curso de Formação de Oficiais de Polícia e qual a importância que atribuem a esta formação. Sem esse conhecimento não é possível aferir se os Oficiais de Polícia possuem as ferramentas adequadas para realizarem um serviço eficaz e eficiente, neste âmbito. O objetivo deste estudo foi apurar a perceção que os alunos e os Oficiais (exalunos do Curso de Formação de Oficiais de Polícia) têm sobre a sua preparação em Técnicas de Intervenção Policial no Curso de Formação de Oficiais de Polícia. Para alcançar esse objetivo aplicou-se um inquérito por questionário a estes dois grupos. Os resultados obtidos revelam que ambos os grupos de inquiridos consideram muito importante a formação em Técnicas de Intervenção Policial para as funções de um Oficial de Polícia, sentindo-se, porém, pouco preparados nesta área e insatisfeitos com a formação recebida durante o Curso de Formação de Oficiais de Polícia. Concluiu-se, ainda, que o nível de preparação está diretamente relacionado com a formação recebida, no sentido de que quem fez a formação em Técnicas de Intervenção Policial com a respetiva avaliação teórica e prática se sente melhor preparado relativamente àqueles que não fizeram tal formação ou, tendo-a feito, não foram sujeitos a qualquer avaliação. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Training in Police Intervention Techniques is a poorly studied area. There is, therefore, a gap in the knowledge about how prepared the students and Police Officers of the Police Officers Training Course feel and the importance they attribute to this training. Without this knowledge, it is not possible to determine if Police Officers have the right tools to carry out an effective and efficient service in this area. The objective of this study was to ascertain the perception that the students and Police Officers (former Police Officers Training Course’s students) possess about their preparation in Police Intervention Techniques in the Police Officers Training Course. To reach this objective, a survey by questionnaire was applied to these two groups. The results show that both groups of respondents attribute great importance to training in Police Intervention Techniques for the mission of a Police Officer, but they feel that they are poorly prepared in this area and dissatisfied with the training received during the Police Officers Training Course. It is also concluded that the level of preparation is directly related to the training received, in the sense that those who did the training in Police Intervention Techniques with its theoretical and practical assessments, feel better prepared than those who did not do such training or, having done so, were not subjected to any evaluation. | pt_PT |
