Abstract(s)
A linguagem visual, na sua forma privilegiada de expressão
e de construção de histórias e narrativas através de imagens,
tem evidenciado uma forte presença e proliferação sobre os
vários meios e suportes de comunicação, embora
assumindo-se sempre como um método relevante e
essencial no atual contexto sociocultural.
No contexto da narrativa visual, o presente trabalho assenta
na ideia da representação da dimensão épica que parece
transmitir constantemente uma sensação cativante e
prazerosa, embora a sua ciência permaneça um mistério.
Desta forma, a investigação procura abordar as seguintes
questões:
O que faz de uma imagem épico? Porque parece transmitir
sensações cativantes e emocionantes? Existe mesmo uma
fórmula para atingir e potencializar ao máximo esta
dimensão sensorial através da composição? Será que a sua
expressividade varia entre os diferentes meios de
representação tendo em conta o estilo e os momentos da
narrativa?
Visual language, in its privileged form of expression and the construction of stories and narratives through images, has shown a strong presence and proliferation in the various media and communication supports, although it has always been a relevant and essential method in the current sociocultural context. In the context of visual narrative, this work is based on the idea of representing the epic dimension, which seems to constantly convey a captivating and pleasurable sensation, although its science remains a mystery. In this way, the research seeks to address the following questions: What does make an image epic? Why does it seem to convey captivating and exciting sensations? Is there really a formula for achieving and maximizing this sensory dimension through composition? Does its expressiveness vary between different means of representation, taking into account the style and moments of the narrative?
