Abstract(s)
A primeira as senta numa metodologia expositiva, descritiva e analítico-reflexiva e a segunda inclui
Framework: Stroke is a topic of extreme importance due to its high epidemiological representation, both in Portugal and in the rest of the world. About 20- 80% of people with stroke have cognitive deficits, with memory, attention, executive functions, perception and language being the most affected domains, which are often neglected by health professionals. Faced with this problem, the performance of the Nurse Specialist in Rehabilitation Nursing becomes fundamental, endowed with knowledge and specific skills that allow him to assess and rehabilitate the cognitive function of the person with a stroke, promoting/enhancing their overall recovery. Objectives: Carry out a reflective critical analysis on the acquisition of common skills of a Specialist Nurse, specific skills of a Specialist Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing and Master's skills developed throughout the training course; to identify the available evidence on cognitive rehabilitation programs for people with stroke by conducting an integrative literature review and to elaborate a proposal for a rehabilitation nursing intervention for people with post-stroke cognitive impairment, in a Neurology inpatient service. Methodology: This report is divided into two parts. The first is based on an expository, descriptive and analytical-reflective methodology and the second includes an integrative literature review. Conclusions: This route was rich in experiences that allowed the acquisition and consolidation of technical and human skills of Specialist Nurse and Master in Rehabilitation Nursing, which are fundamental in the rehabilitation of people with stroke. The detection of cognitive deficits and early cognitive rehabilitation of these people is crucial to maximize their functional potential. The rehabilitation nursing intervention proposal promotes the approach of cognitive rehabilitation to the person with stroke by the Specialist Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing based on the best evidence
