Abstract(s)
A alimentação no Exército é uma área crítica, pois a sua missão, pode ser condicionada, se alguma falha ocorrer neste processo. A Manutenção Militar apresenta-se como principal fornecedor de víveres ao Exército, desta forma, encontra-se directamente relacionada com este processo. Tem como principais actividades o fornecimento de géneros da classe I e a gestão de messes. Uma organização deve gerir os seus meios da forma mais adequada, desta forma, o processo de alimentação do Exército deve ser analisado. O presente trabalho encontra-se subordinado ao tema: “A importância da Manutenção Militar no sistema logístico do Exército português”.
A realização deste trabalho tem em vista a apresentação de um estudo acerca da importância da Manutenção Militar no sistema logístico do Exército português, abordando, para tal, o sistema de alimentação praticado pelo Exército.
O estudo de caso foi o método adoptado, tendo em conta as suas características as técnicas de recolha de dados utilizadas foram as entrevistas e a observação. Os resultados videnciaram que o Exército possui um modelo de alimentação desajustado, existindo necessidade de repensar este processo, analisando cada unidade como um caso individual e primar por uma centralização de meios, sempre que possível , com o intuito de reduzir custos directamente relacionados como processo.
Abstract Feeding the Army is a critical area because, its mission, may be constrained if a failure occurs in this process. Manutenção Militar presents itself as leading provider of food in the Army, for this, it is directly related to this process. Its main activities are the supply of class I and the management of messes. An organization must manage its resources correctly; therefore the process of feeding the army should be taken into analysis. This work’s themeis: "The importance of Manutenção Militar logistics system in the Portuguese Army." It aims at presenting a study about the importance of Manutenção Militar in the military logistics system of the Portuguese Army, addressing, for this reason, the feeding system practiced by the Army. The study case was the adopted method; taking this into account the technical characteristics of data collection used were interviews and observation. The results showed that the Army has an inadequate nutrition model and need to rethink this process, analyzing each unit as an individual case and give priority to a centralization of resources, where it is possible, in order to reduce costs directly related to the process.
