“Cólica no Recém-Nascido e Lactente: Promoção do papel parental desenvolvimental".
marco importante na minha formação académica e profissional, proporcionando-me a
This report describes the path developed under the masters degree in child and pediatric health nursing at the escola superior de enfermagem do Porto. It is main objective to present a critical and reflective analysis of the learning acquired throughout the training, as well as the evolution of the skills common to specialist nurses, as well as the specific skills of the specialist nurse in child and pediatric health nursing. The reflection is based on the reflection between the practices carried out and the available scientific evidence. For this elaboration, a descriptive, reflective and critical work methodology was adopted, supported by the analysis of several clinical experiences experienced throughout the clinical course. Within the scope of this training course, professional internships were developed in various contexts of clinical practice, including pediatric hospitalization service, pediatric emergency service, newborn period intensive care units and primary health care. This report was followed by a project focused on the development of specialized clinical skills in the area of nursing in child and pediatric health, with the theme "Colic in the newborn and infant: promotion of the developmental parental role". This project allowed me to deepen the skills acquired as a specialist nurse in child and pediatric health nursing, with particular emphasis on the elaboration and registration of nursing care directed to the child and his family, with emphasis on the treatment of colic management. I believe that the development of skills is a continuous and dynamic process, which goes beyond the Professional Nature Internship and the course itself. This path represented an important achieve in my academic and professional training, giving me the opportunity to acquire a set of tools that will certainly be crucial for my future professional practice, and also, for the improvement of the quality of care that I will offer to children and their families.
