Abstract(s)
O coaching é uma ferramenta que tem grande contribuição para o desenvolvimento
pessoal, das equipas e das organizações por meio do desenvolvimento de competências.
No decorrer desta dissertação, será possível refletir sobre a importância do coaching que
é uma das práticas de desenvolvimento competências muito utilizada em contexto
organizacional e, de que maneira essa esta prática influência no desempenho e na
carreira do colaborador intermédio.
Foi aplicado um questionário aos colaboradores da UNITEL para analisar as seguintes
dimensões: i) Influência do coaching (Realização profissional e Grau de motivação); ii)
Práticas de recursos humanos de elevado desempenho (segurança do emprego,
avaliação de desempenho, remunerações, formação e oportunidades de carreira); iii)
Impacto do coaching.
Concluiu-se que colaboradores da UNITEL não se sentem totalmente realizados
profissionalmente, consideram que o coaching desempenha um papel importante no seu
desenvolvimento pessoal, no desempenho das suas funções e no aumento da sua
motivação. Por outro lado, as Práticas de Trabalho de Elevado Desempenho (PTED)
foram percecionadas pelos colaboradores da UNITEL que participaram neste estudo,
tendo sido igualmente valorizadas.
Das cinco estudadas neste estudo as mais valorizadas foram a Avaliação de
Desempenho e a Formação e de forma mais moderada, as oportunidades de carreira, a
remuneração e a segurança no emprego.
Por fim, na relação entre o impacto do coaching e as práticas de elevado desempenho,
verificou-se a existência de uma relação positiva e forte entre o coaching e a Formação.
Coaching is a tool that makes a great contribution to personal development, of teams and organizations through the development of skills. During this dissertation, it will be possible to reflect on the importance of coaching, which is one of the skills development practices widely used in the organizational context and how this practice influences the performance and career of the intermediate employee. A questionnaire was published to UNITEL employees to analyze the following: i) Influence of coaching (Professional achievement and degree of motivation); ii) High performance human resources practices (job security, performance appraisal, remuneration, training and career opportunities); iii) Impact of coaching. It was concluded that UNITEL employees do not feel fully professionally fulfilled, they consider that coaching plays an important role in their personal development, in the performance of their duties and in increasing their motivation. On the other hand, the PTED’s were perceived by UNITEL employees who participated in this study, and were equally valued. Of the five studied in this study, the most valued were performance assessment and training and, in a more moderate way, career opportunities, remuneration and job security. Finally, in the relationship between the impact of coaching and high performance practices, there was a positive and strong relationship between coaching and training.
