Esta pesquisa tem como propósito identificar, compreender e analisar os padrões discursivos na construção das representações dos refugiados no contexto da crise humanitária na Síria, tomando como objetos de estudo os textos noticiosos publicados no mês de setembro de 2015 nas versões digitais dos jornais Público, de Portugal, e Folha de São Paulo, do Brasil, em um corpus principal que reúne 197 artigos. Pretende-se perceber, assim, de que modo se articulam seus discursos, e a perceção e representação do ‘Outro’. Para tanto, combinam-se referenciais teóricos dos estudos do fenómeno das migrações internacionais contemporâneas (A. Portes e D. Massey), das noções de alteridade e identidade (T. Todorov, S. Hall, K. Woodward, M. Sodré, M. Barbosa), bem como estudos no campo da linguagem, incluindo autores como P. Baker, T. Van Dijk. Para além de seu contributo científico, esta investigação fornece um suporte para a formatação de estruturas textuais amparadas por narrativas de alteridade.
This research aims to identify, understand and analyze the discursive patterns in the construction of refugee representations in the context of the humanitarian crisis in Syria, in the taking of objects such as the study of texts and news texts published in September 2015 in the digital versions of newspapers Público, in Portugal, and Folha de São Paulo, in Brazil, in a main corpus comprising 197 articles. Thus, it intends to understand how the media articulates its speeches with the perception and representation of the 'Other'. To this end, theoretical references of the phenomenon studies of contemporary international migration (A. Portes and D. Massey), of the notions alterity and identity (T. Todorov, S. Hall, K. Woodward, M. Sodré, M Barbosa) , as well as studies in the language field, including authors such as P. Baker, T. Van Dijk. In addition to its scientific contribution, this investigation can provide support for the formatting of textual structures compared by narratives of alterity.
