dc.description.abstractEste trabalho tem como objetivo lançar um olhar fotográfico sobre as influências que o tráfico transatlântico de escravos exerceu sobre as trocas culturais ocorridas entre Bahia, Benin e Portugal. A escolha desses locais como foco da pesquisa relaciona-se com a ligação histórica entre eles, e também com a minha própria trajetória. Pretende-se demonstrar, por meio do registro fotográfico com contextualização histórica e análise de imagens de outros fotógrafos, além das minhas próprias, como o tráfico de escravos, apesar das consequências ignóbeis por todos conhecidas, proporcionou um valioso intercâmbio cultural entre as sociedades africanas, portuguesa e brasileira, com desdobramentos que marcaram indissociável e profundamente todos os envolvidos.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe present work aims to take a photographic look at the influences that the transatlantic slave trade has had on the cultural exchanges between Bahia, Benin and Portugal. These places were chosen as the focus of this research due to the historical relation among them, as well as with my personal path. It is intended to demonstrate, through the photographic record with historical contextualization and also analysis of the work from other photographers besides my own, how the slave trade, despite the sordid consequences by all known, provided a valuable cultural exchange between African, Portuguese and Brazilian societies, with unfoldings that deeply and inseparably marked all those involved.pt_PT
