Objective: To evaluate the microhardness and colour stability of different universal composite resins: ONEshade Pro, Filtek™ EasyMatch and FiltekTM Z250, after daily immersion in soft drinks, coffee, black tea, Coca-Cola® and Red Bull® for 14 days. Materials and Methods: Seventy-five samples were prepared as discs (10 mm × 2 mm) from three composite resins: ONEshade Pro (OliDent, Poznan, Poland), Filtek™ Easy Match (3M ESPE, USA) and Filtek™ Z250 (3M ESPE, MN, USA), 25 discs per resin. The samples of each resin were divided and identified into five groups (n=5), according to the immersion medium: distilled water (control group), coffee, tea, Coca-Cola® and Red Bull®. After initial storage in water at 37°C for 24 hours, initial colour measurements (T0) were performed with a spectrophotometer (Spectroshade™) and microhardness measurements were performed with a Vickers microhardness tester. The discs were then subjected to the immersion protocol in stimulating beverages for 14 days (5 min, twice/day), with storage in distilled water between immersions. The data was subjected to statistical analysis (SPSS, p<0.05). Results: The Filtek™ Z250 resin was the most affected by the different beverages in terms of microhardness. Coca-Cola caused the greatest reductions in microhardness (p < 0.05). No statistically significant differences were observed between the resins regarding color variation, but tea caused the highest pigmentation, followed by coffee, with clinically unacceptable changes (ΔE > 3.3) (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The stimulating beverages negatively affected the microhardness and color stability of the tested resins. Filtek™ Z250 was the most susceptible to microhardness loss, especially with Coca-Cola®, while tea and coffee caused the greatest color changes. It can be concluded that the composition of the resins and the chemical characteristics of the beverages directly influence their clinical performance.
