Abstract(s)
A Mata Nacional Do Urso (MNU) é uma Floresta com grandes valores culturais e naturais
que poderão ser potencializados através do Ecoturismo. Este estudo faz uma revisão do
conceito de Ecoturismo, definindo cinco pilares base para a sua definição: Natureza,
Identidade, Sustentabilidade, Aprendizagens e Desenvolvimento. Durante o Estágio
Profissionalizante no Município de Pombal, foi possível a recolha dos valores culturais e
naturais da MNU, e também obter uma análise dos projetos que foram planeados pela
entidade a desenvolver neste território, no qual existem oportunidades para o turismo
ainda por explorar. A criação do Projeto “À Descoberta dos Tesouros do Urso” resulta do
conjunto de atividades realizadas durante o período de estágio, e pretende utilizar as bases
do Ecoturismo, a par com os recursos da MNU, através da criação de um roteiro de
interpretação pela floresta, de modo a valorizar e potencializar as suas características
intrínsecas, após a passagem de um incêndio que consumiu grande parte da mata.

The “Mata Nacional do Urso” (MNU) it`s a National Forest with great cultural and natural values that can be enhanced through Ecotourism. This research reviews the concept of Ecotourism, defining five main pillars for its definition: Nature, Identity, Sustainability, Knowledge and Development. During the Professional Internship in the Municipality of Pombal, initially the research focused on the culture and natural values of the MNU, and posteriorly, the projects that were planned to be developed in this territory by the Pombal City County were analyzed, region in which there are opportunities for tourism yet to be explored. The "Discovering the Treasures of MNU" Project results from a set of activities carried out during the internship period, and intends to use the bases of Ecotourism, along with the resources of the MNU, through the development of an interpretation route through the forest, in order to enhance its intrinsic characteristics, after a fire consumed a large part of the Woods.
