Na forma de inquéritos, vários contextos socioeconómicos, do segundo e terceiro quartéis do século XVIII, possibilitaram a recolha de informações de distinta ordem junto das paróquias portuguesas. Todavia, nos escombros do Terramoto de Lisboa desapareceu uma parte significativa do conteúdo dos questionários realizados até 1755. Promovido pelo Marquês de Pombal, que à data desempenhava funções de Secretário de Estado dos Negócios do Reino, e organizado pelo Padre Luís Cardoso, um novo inquérito paroquial é encetado, concretamente em janeiro de 1758. É este o objeto de análise do presente texto, sendo coligidas nas respetivas respostas às 60 perguntas que aí se encontram, relativas à Terra, à Serra e ao Rio, as referências que compõem a coletânea de informes históricos, arqueológicos e patrimoniais que dão corpo ao artigo que se apresenta respeitante ao concelho de Lousada.
In the form of surveys, various socioeconomic contexts of the second and third quarter of the 18th century made possible to collect information of different types from Portuguese parishes. However, in the rubble of the Lisbon Earthquake, a significant part of the content of the questionnaires carried out until 1755 disappeared. by the Marquis of Pombal, who at the time held the role of Secretary of State for Kingdom Affairs, and organized by Father Luís Cardoso, a new parish inquiry was initiated, specifically in January 1758.
