O presente trabalho analisou os dados extraídos do Sistema de Informação Estratégico da Polícia de Segurança Pública, em concreto, referiram-se às detenções efetuadas pelas seis Divisões Policiais, com jurisdição no concelho de Lisboa, os aludidos dados foram agregados, tendo sido utilizadas as ferramentas do programa excel, pelo que foi possível identificar em primeiro lugar, quais as nacionalidades dos cidadãos detidos, em flagrante delito e que tipo de crimes foram por estes cometidos nos últimos cinco anos (2020-2024).
Este trabalho académico é um estudo marcadamente empírico, utilizou o método descritivo dos dados extraídos do Sistema Estratégico de Informação, que foram previamente solicitados ao Departamento de Informações Policiais da Polícia de Segurança Pública.
Assim, das perceções de que os imigrantes são sinónimo de criminalidade, com este estudo pretendeu-se firmar com a devida segurança, se a afirmação é verdadeira ou falsa e através dos resultados obtidos, seria importante a promoção de um policiamento preventivo, com a finalidade de reduzir os ilícitos criminais cometidos pelos cidadãos (portugueses ou imigrantes), de modo a reforçar o sentimento de segurança na cidade de Lisboa.
This study analysed data extracted from the Strategic Information System of the Polícia de Segurança Pública, specifically referring to arrests made by the six Police Divisions with jurisdiction in the municipality of Lisbon. The aforementioned data were aggregated using excel tools, making it possible to identify, first of all, the nationalities of citizens arrested in deliberate offence and the types of crimes they committed in the last five years (2020-2024). This academic work is a markedly empirical study, using a descriptive method based on data extracted from the Strategic Information System, which was previously requested from the Police Information Department of the Polícia de Segurança Pública. Thus, given the perception that immigrants are synonymous with crime, this study sought to establish with certainty whether this statement is true or false, and through the results, it would be important to promote preventive policing, with the aim of reducing criminal offences committed by citizens (whether portuguese or immigrants), in order to reinforce the feeling of safety in the city of Lisbon.
