O presente relatório de estágio profissional relata o percurso realizado durante o Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica num hospital de apoio perinatal diferenciado do Norte do país. O documento fornece a caracterização dos contextos clínicos, a conceção de cuidados do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica com uma análise crítica reflexiva da prática para o desenvolvimento de competências na assistência à grávida com complicações, parturiente, puérpera e recém-nascido, bem como a pessoa significativa, conforme o Regulamento de Competências Específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica n.º 391/2019.
Neste Estágio de Natureza Profissional, surgiu a necessidade de aprofundar conhecimentos sobre as intervenções promotoras da integridade do períneo e o seu impacto para a mulher no intraparto, no âmbito de um projeto de investigação do serviço de bloco de partos, com a realização de uma revisão narrativa da literatura.
Este percurso permitiu adquirir competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica e refletir sobre as melhores práticas de cuidados especializados. A revisão narrativa identificou as intervenções para preservar a integridade do períneo no parto, com o objetivo de reduzir traumas perineais, melhorar o bem-estar da parturiente e promover uma experiência de parto positiva.
The present professional internship report recounts the journey made during the masters degree in Maternal Health and Obstetric Nursing in a differentiated perineal support hospital in the north of the country. This document provides a characterization of the different clinical contexts, the Nurse Specialist in Maternal Health and Obstetric Nursing's conception of care with a critical-reflective analysis of their prac-tice for the development of competences in caring for the pregnant woman with complications, the parturient, the puerperal woman and the newborn, without for-getting the significant person, as said in the nº 391/2019 regulation of specific com-petences of the Nurse Specialist in Maternal Health and Obstetric Nursing. During the internship of professional nature, a need to deepen knowledge about interventions that promoted perineal integrity and its impact for women during child-birth arose, as part of a research project in the labor ward, which resulted in a narrative review of the literature. This journey enabled me to acquire skills essential to a Nurse Specialist in Maternal Health and Obstetric Nursing and to reflect on the best practices of specialized care. The narrative revision identified techniques to preserve perineal integrity during childbirth, with the goals of reducing perineal trauma, improve the parturient women well-being and thus promote a positive childbirth experience.
