Abstract(s)
O tema principal deste Relatório do Projeto de Investigação é o repouso, em contexto de Educação de Infância, a partir da análise das conceções e das práticas das educadoras de infância. Este tema incide nos vários momentos de repouso existentes na rotina diária, particularmente na sesta, nas atividades sossegadas e na relaxação.
O objetivo deste estudo é compreender como é que as educadoras entendem os momentos de repouso e como é que os organizam, procurando articular as experiências vividas nos períodos de estágio, em contexto de Creche e Jardim-de-Infância, com a reflexão decorrente dos quadros teóricos existentes sobre esta temática.
O estudo baseou-se, do ponto de vista da metodologia de investigação, no paradigma interpretativo e na metodologia qualitativa, inspirando-se na abordagem da Investigação-Ação. Com efeito, não apenas observei e procurei compreender a prática pedagógica das educadoras durante os períodos de estágio, como planifiquei com as educadoras atividades que realizei com as crianças e refleti sobre a minha intervenção no sentido de melhorar a minha prática como futura educadora.
Neste sentido, este estudo tem como finalidade compreender de que forma os momentos de repouso constituem um contributo fundamental para o bem-estar das crianças, respeitando os seus interesses e as suas necessidades. Por outro lado, também pretendo contribuir para a otimização dos momentos de repouso, através da identificação de estratégias/propostas com vista à melhoria das práticas desenvolvidas.
No decorrer do estudo foram tomadas determinadas opções de recolha e análise de informação, principalmente a observação, inquérito por questionário e análise documental. A partir dos instrumentos e procedimentos de investigação escolhidos, bem como do modo como foram percecionadas as duas realidades de prática, são descritas e interpretadas as conceções das educadoras em estudo. A análise interpretativa do estudo permitiu-me constatar que se deve respeitar e valorizar os momentos de repouso, proporcionando às crianças condições físicas e emocionais para o seu bem-estar geral.
The main theme of this Investigation Project Report is the study of rest within the context of Childhood Education, departing from analysis of conceptions and practices of Childhood Educators. This theme is focused on the several moments of rest in daily routine, especially during the nap, quiet activities and relaxation. The aim of this study is to comprehend how Early Childhood Educators understand the moments of rest, how they organize them and at the same time trying to link it with their life experiences, taking into account a reflection with the existing theoretical frameworks on this issue. From the methodological point of view of the research, the study was based on the interpretative paradigm and on the qualitative methodology inspired by the research-action approach. Thus, not only I observed and I have tried to understand the pedagogical practice of Childhood Educators during their traineeship periods, but also I have planned activities with them that I carried out with children which allowed me to reflect on my own intervention in order to improve my educational practice as future Childhood Educator. On one hand this study aims to understand in which way rest moments are a main contribution for children well-being taking into account their interests and needs. On the other hand I also want to contribute for an optimization of rest time through an identification of strategies and proposals in order to improve the developed practices. During the study certain options were taken for collection and analysis of information especially observation, questionnaire survey and document analysis. From the investigation tools and procedures chosen, as well as the way the two reality practices were perceived, are described and interpreted the conceptions of Childhood Educators in study. The interpretative analysis of the study allowed me understand that one should respect and cherish the moments of rest, providing children physical and emotional conditions for their overall well-being.
