O presente relatório surge no âmbito do 4º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica da Escola Superior de Enfermagem São José de Cluny - 2019-2021 e intitula-se “Cuidados de Enfermagem Especializados à Pessoa Pós-Paragem Cardiorrespiratória: Da formação à ação”.
Através de uma metodologia descritiva, analítica e reflexiva baseada na evidência científica mais atual e nos referenciais da profissão, emerge este relatório, cuja apresentação e discussão pública objetivam descrever o percurso para o desenvolvimento de competências comuns e específicas no cuidado de enfermagem especializado à pessoa pós-paragem cardiorrespiratória e fundamentar a discussão pública do título de Mestre em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica.
A prática clínica realizou-se no âmbito dos cuidados de enfermagem especializados à pessoa em situação crítica, mais especificamente no Serviço de Urgência do Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, no Serviço de Medicina Intensiva e na Unidade de Tratamento Intensivo Coronário, do mesmo hospital.
Da complexidade inerente aos cuidados prestados à pessoa pós-paragem cardiorrespiratória, expressa a necessidade de compreender e fundamentar a intervenção do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica desde que esta é acometida até à estabilização da sua condição clínica.
Advogo que o conhecimento aprofundado para a melhor abordagem à pessoa/ família em situação critica pós-paragem cardiorrespiratória, da formação à ação, acrescenta valor à qualidade e continuidade de cuidados e antecipa importantes focos de instabilidade, promovendo melhores outcomes e ganhos em saúde sensíveis à intervenção do enfermeiro especialista.
Termino, neste seguimento, argumentando que o nível de conhecimento de segundo ciclo neste âmbito da ação, fortalece a autonomia e valor da Enfermagem Médico-cirúrgica.
This report appears within the scope of the 4th Master's Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing of the São José de Cluny Higher School of Nursing - 2019-2021 and is intended "Specialized Nursing Care to The Post-Cardiac Arrest Person: From Training to Action". Through a descriptive, analytical and reflective methodology based on the most current scientific evidence and the references of the profession, this report emerges, whose presentation and public discussion aim to describe the path to the development of common and specific competencies in specialized nursing care to the cardiorespiratory person and to support the public discussion of the title of Master in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Clinical practice was carried out in the scope of specialized nursing care for the person in critical situation, more specifically in the Emergency Department of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, in the Intensive Care Service and in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital. From the complexity inherent to the care provided to the cardiorespiratory person, it expresses the need to understand and support the intervention of the nurse specialized in medical-surgical nursing since it is affected until the stabilization of his/her clinical condition. I advocate that in-depth knowledge for the best approach to the person/family in critical post-cardiac arrest, from training to action, adds value to the quality and continuity of care and anticipates important foci of instability, promoting better outcomes and health gains sensitive to the intervention of the specialist nurse. I end this follow-up, arguing that the level of knowledge of the second cycle in this scope of action, strengthens the autonomy and value of Medical-Surgical Nursing.
