Abstract(s)
inscritos no ensino superior neste período temporal.
This dissertation focuses on the Inspiring Future (IF) Project and its relevance in the process of placing students in higher education. The main objective of this research is to analyse how the IF Project contributes to enhancing the communication of HEI training offers and strengthening their relationship with students who are in the academic decision-making phase. A brief description and analysis of Higher Education in Portugal is presented, exploring the structure of the system and its evolution over the past decade. This contextualization aims to support the understanding of the issue of student placement by identifying demographic trends, namely the age groups and gender of students enrolled in higher education during this period. The IF Project is described in detail from the creation of the Associação Inspirar o Futuro, which originated it, highlighting its mission, objectives, strategies and actions aimed at attracting and guiding students towards higher education. The project is thus positioned as a significant contribution to the pursuit of studies at the higher -education level. The methodology adopted consisted of a qualitative approach, centred on the case study of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, an institution that has collaborated with the project since 2013. Two main methodological procedures were used: semi-structured interviews and questionnaire surveys; SPSS software was used to analyse the collected data. Although the analysis considers the national context and the set of higher education institutions, the case study of this research focuses on the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, with the purpose of understanding the contribution of the IF Project to the placement of students in this institution.
