A presente dissertação teve como estudo os indicadores e o controlo da qualidade na gestão da produção da Indorama Ventures Portugal PTA (IVP PTA), situada na zona industrial da cidade de Sines. Esta empresa tem como finalidade produzir ácido tereftálico purificado (PTA) que consiste num pó branco, que é a matéria prima para a produção de polietileno tereftalato (PET) sendo este último um polímero termoplástico. O objetivo deste estudo consistiu na avaliação das variações dos indicadores ao longo do tempo, na comparação dos indicadores com valores de referência analisando os resultados obtidos. Definiram-se parâmetros de melhoria através da gestão de equipamentos. Verificou-se a disponibilidade dos equipamentos e analisaram-se os custos de controlo. A metodologia utilizada incluiu:
Trabalho de pesquisa;
Recolha de informação/dados relevantes;
Tratamento e avaliação de dados;
Análise e controlo de dados;
Definição de parâmetros de melhorias.
Os objetivos contemplaram a definição das variações dos indicadores de processo ao longo do tempo e a comparação com valores de referência, a Definição de parâmetros de melhoria, a melhoria do desempenho através da gestão de equipamentos/operações, passando pela análise da respetiva disponibilidade. Os objetivos foram alcançados no que se refere à análise dos indicadores, à definição de parâmetros de melhoria e à gestão e análise da disponibilidade de equipamentos. Sendo que os gráficos de controlo de processo são amplamente utilizados em ambientes industriais para manter a qualidade do produto e são de fácil utilização e compreensão, houve também uma preocupação em pesquisar algumas das ferramentas e técnicas com eles relacionadas, ainda que não diretamente utilizadas no trabalho, como é o caso do planeamento de experiências. Finalmente, há que estabelecer um conjunto de indicadores de desempenho de manutenção e de produção de acordo com os objetivos da empresa.
The present dissertation had as study the indicators and the quality control in the production management of Indorama Ventures Portugal PTA (IVP PTA), located in the industrial area of the city of Sines. This company produce purified terephthalic acid (PTA) which consists of a white powder, which is the raw material for the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the latter being a thermoplastic polymer. The aim of this study was to evaluate the variations of the indicators over time, comparing the indicators with reference values, analyzing the results obtained. Improvement parameters were defined through equipment management. The availability of the equipment was checked and the control costs were analyzed. The methodology used included: Research work; Collection of relevant information; Data treatment and evaluation; Data analysis and control; Definition of improvement parameters. The objectives included the definition of changes in process indicators over time and comparison with reference values, the definition of improvement parameters, the improvement of performance through the management of equipment/operations, including the analysis of their availability. The objectives were achieved with regard to the analysis of indicators, the definition of improvement parameters and the management and analysis of equipment availability. Since process control graphics are widely used in industrial environments to maintain product quality and are easy to use and understand, there was also a concern to research some of the tools and techniques related to them, although not directly used at work, as is the case with experience planning. Finally, it is necessary to establish a set of maintenance and production performance indicators in accordance with the company's objectives.
