Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação teve como objetivo principal verificar em que medida os direitos
das crianças são respeitados e implementados no concelho do Crato, segundo as
perspetivas e opiniões das próprias crianças, dos adolescentes e das suas famílias, tendo
por referência a CDC (Convenção dos Direitos das Crianças), aprovada pela Organização
das Nações Unidas em 20 de novembro de 1989 (UNESCO, 2019).
Por forma a cumprir este objetivo, foi utilizada, como ferramenta de diagnóstico,
o questionário. Assim, foram aplicados três questionários a diferentes públicos – crianças,
adolescentes e famílias, através da colaboração da CPCJ do Crato e das escolas deste
concelho. Os distintos questionários foram aplicados às crianças e adolescentes em sede
escolar e o das famílias foi respondido com recurso à plataforma Microsoft Teams, tendo
sido abrangidas 66 crianças do 1º e 2º ciclos de escolaridade, 51 jovens do 3º ciclo de
escolaridade e do ensino secundário, e 59 adultos, todos familiares das crianças e jovens
envolvidos nesta investigação.
Através da aplicação dos questionários, os resultados permitiram concluir que, de
forma geral, os direitos das crianças encontram-se a ser cumpridos e são respeitados pelos
elementos que compõem a comunidade do Crato, apesar dos direitos associados à
participação e à segurança serem menos alcançados que os restantes.
The main objective of this dissertation was to verify the extent to which children's rights are respected and implemented in the municipality of Crato, according to the perspectives and opinions of the children themselves, adolescents and their families, with reference to the CDC (Convention on the Rights of Children), approved by the United Nations on November 20, 1989 (UNESCO, 2019). In order to achieve this objective, the questionnaire was used as a diagnostic tool. Thus, three questionnaires were applied to different audiences - children, adolescents and families, through the collaboration of the CPCJ of Crato and the schools of this municipality. The different questionnaires were applied to children and adolescents in schools and the families' questionnaires were answered using the Microsoft Teams platform, covering 66 children from the 1st and 2nd cycles of schooling, 51 young people from the 3rd cycle of schooling and secondary education, and 59 adults, all family members of the children and young people involved in this investigation. Through the application of the questionnaires, the results allowed us to conclude that, in general, children's rights are being fulfilled and are respected by the elements that make up the Crato community, despite the rights associated with participation and security being less achieved. than the rest.
