Abstract(s)
o volume, a fragilidade e a quantidade.
desenvolvimento do produto.
This research project focuses on the area of product design and understanding what the result of creating a product will be based on its historical evolution, understanding user needs, analyzing data from direct experimentation and modeling ideas with biomimetic inspirations. The meaning of this investigation results from the problem, which we were able to verify in other countries, where the transport of goods using a motorcycle, whether professional or private, appears to be a dangerous action, not only for the driver, but also for others that circulate on the roads. From what we found in the investigation, motorcyclists, in their daily lives, are used to developing creative ways to solve the problems they encounter, when they need to transport various objects, regardless of shape, volume, fragility and quantity. We were able to verify that these characteristics are often circumvented in terms of compliance with traffic and transport rules. We embrace this problem with an approach of research and direct participation of the users themselves. To this end, firstly, a study was carried out on the products on the market to compare their attributes; A survey was then carried out using a prospecting questionnaire, to better understand user needs and their solutions. Based on data collected from prospected literary criticism, two motorcycle baggage original models were developed and a placebo model, which were tested using a quantitative methodology dedicated to concluding whether the product proposals we created could be considered new. These models were presented to users in order to collect “user experience data”, data related to dexterity and knowledge, in terms of evaluating the performance of the baggage, in order to define attributes that are fundamental to the design of a baggage for motorcycles. For the evaluation, a survey was carried out using a face-to-face questionnaire, at the Faro concentration, for users to directly share their appreciation and knowledge necessary for our research. The data was analyzed using a mixed method, qualitative and quantitative, and the results obtained allowed us to conclude the most important characteristics to take into account when developing the product. Finally, and subject to all the data crossed in the investigation, a sketch of the product was executed in a 3D modeling program with the aim of making it safer and more comfortable.
