Abstract(s)
O presente estudo realizou-se com o intuito de compreender o impacto das Atividades Assistidas por Animais na Satisfação com a Vida e na Felicidade Subjetiva em idosos utentes de Centro de Dia. Ao longo do texto é apresentada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a temática nomeadamente conteúdos sobre o envelhecimento demográfico e individual, resposta social de Centro de Dia, as Intervenções Assistidas por Animais, a relação entre o idoso e o animal de estimação, as Intervenções Assistidas por Animais com idosos, a satisfação com a vida nas pessoas idosas e a felicidade subjetiva nas pessoas idosas.
O objetivo desta investigação centrou-se em perceber se as Atividades Assistidas por Animais têm impacto na Satisfação com a Vida, bem como na Felicidade Subjetiva num grupo de idosos, utentes de um Centro de Dia, no concelho de Vagos.
A metodologia utilizada nesta pesquisa será de índole exploratória, com base numa pesquisa de caráter quantitativo de acordo com a questão de investigação. A amostra do estudo foi constituída por 12 idosos utentes de um Centro de Dia.
Para a realização desta investigação foram utilizados um questionário sociodemográfico elaborado propositadamente para este estudo, a Escala de Satisfação com a Vida, bem como a Escala da Felicidade Subjetiva.
Após o tratamento estatístico dos dados obtidos, realizarei a caraterização da amostra e apresentarei e discutirei os resultados mais relevantes. Por último, tecerei algumas considerações finais sobre o estudo e esta temática além da conclusão
The present study aims to understand the impact of Animal-Assisted Activities on Life Satisfaction and Subjective Happiness in elderly users of Day Care Centers. Throughout the text, a literature review on the subject is presented, including content on demographic and individual aging, Day Care Center social response, Animal-Assisted Interventions, the relationship between the elderly and pets, Animal-Assisted Interventions with the elderly, life satisfaction in elderly individuals, and subjective happiness in elderly individuals. The goal of this research is to understand whether Animal-Assisted Activities have an impact on Life Satisfaction, as well as on Subjective Happiness in a group of elderly individuals, users of a Day Care Center in the municipality of Vagos. The methodology used in this research will be exploratory in nature, based on qualitative investigation according to the research question. The study sample will consist of 15 elderly users of a Day Care Center. To conduct this research, a sociodemographic questionnaire specifically designed for this study will be used, as well as the Life Satisfaction Scale and the Subjective Happiness Scale. After the statistical treatment of the obtained data, I will characterize the sample and present and discuss the most relevant results. Finally, I will make some final considerations about the study and this topic, as well as provide a conclusion.
