Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho tem por objectivo observar a transformação do oficial General,
partindo da formação de Portugal até aos nossos dias, através da evolução das suas origens, da
identificação das suas raízes históricas, do seu perfil, da sua capacidade de liderança e da
influência que, com a concretização das suas missões, foi exercendo no desenvolvimento das
diversas sociedades e no rumo que certamente a história percorreu.
Concluir daquilo que foi no passado, das suas características e potencialidades no
presente e dos grandes desafios que terá de enfrentar no futuro. Abstract: This work aims to take a closer look at the changes the post of General has undergone
since Portugal’s inception until today, starting with the evolution of the initial concept, its
historical foundation, as well as the profile of the general, his leadership capacity and the impact
that the general, through the achievement of his missions, has had in the development of society
and history.
Furthermore, this work intends to draw conclusions from the past, analyze the current
status and potential of the post of general and explore the huge challenges that the general of the
future will face.
