In this context, the specialist nurse plays a decisive role not only in the delivery of differentiated care, but also in team coordination, the promotion of safety and the continuous improvement of care quality. Within the scope of the Master’s Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area of Critical Care Nursing, a training pathway was developed in emergency and urgent care settings, with the objective of developing specialized competencies, with particular emphasis on team leadership in critical situations.
