| dc.description.abstract | Problemática: Os maus-tratos infantis constituem um problema global e persistente que requer ação urgente e consistente. Para isso, é essencial enfatizar a promoção da saúde infantil, especialmente durante a primeira infância, por meio de atividades que promovam estilos de vida saudáveis. Considerando que os pais e a família têm um papel crucial na gestão do comportamento da criança, juntamente com os profissionais dos cuidados de saúde primários, que fornecem apoio à parentalidade, torna-se essencial fornecer uma resposta, neste contexto, com vista à prevenção dos maus-tratos infantis. Esta pode ser reforçada e alcançada através da promoção da parentalidade positiva, capacitando os pais e tornando-os capazes de gerar mudanças significativas no comportamento e desenvolvimento saudável da criança, promovendo a educação para a saúde às próprias crianças e aos profissionais. Objetivo: Contribuir para a prevenção dos maus-tratos na primeira infância, em crianças com idades compreendidas entre 3 e 6 anos em dois Jardins-de-infância de uma freguesia do concelho de Oeiras. Metodologia: Foi desenvolvido um projeto de intervenção comunitária, partindo da metodologia do planeamento em saúde, no concelho de Oeiras. Este projeto, permitiu contribuir para a capacitação sobre a prevenção dos maus-tratos infantis, através de sessões de educação para a saúde, com aplicação de questionários no início, verificando o conhecimento sobre a temática e no final, para averiguar o acréscimo do conhecimento. Resultado: A comparação da avaliação efetuada no pré e pós sessão permitiu observar mudanças, traduzido no aumento das respostas corretas. Comprovando-se a necessidade de uma intervenção na área da promoção de saúde sobre maus-tratos infantis, com enfoque numa parentalidade positiva. Conclusão: Este estudo destaca a importância de capacitar os pais/encarregados de educação, fornecendo-lhes ferramentas baseadas numa parentalidade positiva para evitar situações de maus-tratos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Problem: Child maltreatment is a global and persistent problem that requires urgent and consistent action. To this end, it is essential to emphasize the promotion of child health, especially during early childhood, through activities that promote healthy lifestyles. Considering that parents and the family play a crucial role in managing child behaviour, together with primary healthcare professionals, who provide support for parenting, it becomes essential to provide a response, in this context, aimed at preventing child maltreatment. This can be enhanced and achieved by promoting positive parenting, empowering parents and enabling them to generate significant changes in the child's behaviour and healthy development, promoting health education for children themselves and professionals. Objective: To contribute to the prevention of early childhood maltreatment in children aged between 3 and 6 years in two Kindergartens in a parish in the municipality of Oeiras. Methodology: A community intervention project was developed, based on the health planning methodology, in the municipality of Oeiras. The study contributed to capacity building on the prevention of child maltreatment through health education sessions, with the application of questionnaires at the beginning, to check the knowledge on the subject, and at the end, to check the increase of knowledge. Results: The comparison between the pre and post session assessments allowed for the observation of changes, translated into an increase in the number of correct answers. This confirms the need for an intervention in the area of health promotion on child maltreatment, focusing on positive parenting. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of empowering parents/carers by providing them with tools based on positive parenting to prevent situations of child maltreatment. | pt_PT |
