| dc.description.abstract | O ponto de partida deste artigo é a crescente atenção hoje dada ao afeto e às emoções enquanto dimensões incontornáveis do ponto de vista da participação cívica, particularmente no contexto dos media online e sociais – e as consequências que esta atenção traz à noção de esfera pública. Parte da identificação de algumas das dificuldades intrínsecas à ideia clássica de esfera pública, sobretudo as que resultam da sua estruturação estrita a partir do racionalismo discursivo. Aprecia a estrutura dos media e o modo como essa estrutura acolhe formas de expressividade da conversação pública. Descreve a transformação do ethos associado às formas de discursividade, e a inclusão, com um estatuto renovado, de caraterísticas como o afeto ou as emoções. Enuncia algumas das ambivalências associadas à presença das emoções na esfera pública, e, de um modo mais específico, no jornalismo, e o modo como dessas ambivalências decorre um olhar renovado sobre as oportunidades de participação cívica e, igualmente, sobre os perigos que ameaçam a discursividade pública. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The starting point of this article is growing attention given nowadays to affection and emotions as unavoidable dimensions from the point of view of civic participation, particularly in the context of online and social media – and the consequences that this attention brings to the notion of the public sphere. It starts from the identification of some of the difficulties intrinsic to the classical idea of the public sphere, especially those that result from its strict structuring based on discursive rationalism. Appreciates the structure of the media and the way this structure embraces forms of expressiveness in public conversation. It describes the transformation of the ethos associated with the forms of discursiveness, and the inclusion, with a renewed status, of characteristics such as affection or emotions. Enunciate some of the ambivalences associated with the presence of emotions in the public sphere, and, more specifically, in journalism, and how these ambivalences result in a renewed look at opportunities for civic participation and, equally, at the dangers that threaten the public discourse. | eng |
