Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de projeto de investigação foi elaborado no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, centrando-se na temática da relação com as famílias. O estudo foi realizado em articulação com os contextos onde realizei os estágios curriculares. Procurei melhorar essa relação através da observação do nível de envolvimento e participação por parte das famílias na instituição e na sala, questionando as educadoras acerca da importância do tema e tentando perceber que relevância lhe atribuem nas suas práticas educativas e intervir de forma a melhorar essa relação.
Ao longo destes dois anos de mestrado realizei três estágios, o primeiro em valência de creche com um grupo de crianças entre os 12 e os 24 meses e o segundo em jardim de infância com crianças dos 3 aos 6 anos. No terceiro momento voltei às instituições anteriores, tendo ficado novamente com as mesmas equipas pedagógicas e grupos de crianças, a fim de concluir as observações e intervenções do projeto de investigação.
Este estudo enquadra-se na metodologia de investigação qualitativa, tendo sido orientada pelos princípios da metodologia de investigação-ação. Utilizei como procedimentos de recolha de informação a observação não participante e participante, notas de campo, registos fotográficos, inquérito por questionário e pesquisa documental.
Procurei intervir de forma a melhorar a relação existente, recorrendo a várias estratégias de intervenção. Elaborei ainda um questionário a fim de recolher informações relativas às conceções das educadoras referentes a esta temática.
Ao longo de todo o meu percurso e tendo estagiado em dois locais diferentes, vivenciei duas práticas de trabalho completamente diferentes no que se refere ao trabalho desenvolvido com as famílias. No estágio em contexto de creche essa relação poderia ser melhorada, apesar de todo o esforço que a educadora A dedica a este tema, tentando envolver as famílias em tudo o que faz.
Considero que a relação com as famílias tem de ser refletida e constantemente repensada de forma a promover um bom envolvimento e participação nas atividades da sala. Este estudo salienta a importância que deve ser dada à relação com as famílias, mas também que as relações entre indivíduos não são fáceis de construir nem de manter e que para isso devem ser procuradas estratégias que promovam essa relação.
This research project report was prepared within the framework of the master’s degree in Pre-School Education, focusing on the thematic of the relationship with families. The study was carried out in conjunction with the contexts in which I conducted the curricular internships. I tried to improve this relationship by observing the level of involvement and participation by families in the institution and in the classroom, questioning the educators about the importance of the topic and trying to understand what relevance they attach to it in their educational practices and intervene in order to improve this relationship. During these two years of my master's degree I did three internships, the first in daycare with a group of children between 12 and 24 months and the second in kindergarten with children from 3 to 6 years. In the third moment, I returned to the previous institutions, and remained with the same pedagogical teams and groups of children again, in order to conclude the observations and interventions of the research project. This study is part of the qualitative research methodology and was guided by the principles of the action-research methodology. I used non-participant and participant observation, field notes, photographic records, questionnaire survey and documentary research as procedures for collecting information. I have tried to intervene in order to improve the existing relationship, using various intervention strategies. I also developed a questionnaire in order to collect information regarding the conceptions of the educators regarding this topic. Throughout my career and having trained in two different places, I experienced two completely different working practices regarding the work developed with the families. In the internship in a daycare setting, this relationship could be improved, despite all the effort that educator A dedicates to this topic, trying to involve families in everything she does. I believe that the relationship with the families must be reflected and constantly rethought in order to promote good involvement and participation in the activities of the room. This study highlights the importance that should be given to the relationship with families, but also that relationships between individuals are not easy to build or maintain and that for this, strategies should be sought to promote this relationship.
