Abstract(s)
A optimização dos serviços, reorganização dos espaços nos armazéns, a gestão de stocks e as novas normas impostas pela Comunidade Europeia são factores dominantes que obrigam as empresas do sector a investir em soluções informáticas. Nenhuma tecnologia permite uma resolução perfeita de todos os problemas nas empresas. No entanto, pode ajudar a reduzir drasticamente os erros humanos e a aumentar a produtividade de todos os processos logísticos de uma empresa.
Um bom sistema de gestão de armazém permite um melhor controlo dos stocks, reduz os erros humanos e optimiza os processos e a utilização dos espaços. Com a concorrência cada vez mais feroz, esse ganho de eficiência pode ser vital para um sector de fornecimento, tendo em conta a necessidade de reduzir ao máximo os custos de operações e os stocks em armazém (gestão do stocks just-in-time).
Nesta perspectiva, e perante uma das missões que é atribuída ao Deposito Geral de Material do Exercito que é de garantir a armazenagem de acordo com determinações superiores, foi-lhe pedido um grande esforço na área de Reabastecimento que passa pela criação de um sistema de informação único, pela modernização de reabastecimento e pela realização de uma correcta gestão de armazenagem, com vista a optimizar os recursos e melhorar a eficiência no funcionamento de um armazém.
Abstract The optimization of services, reorganization of space in warehouses, the management of stocks and the new rules imposed by the European Community are the most important factors which force the industry to invest in software solutions. No technology allows a perfect resolution of all problems in the enterprise. However, it can help reducing drastically the human mistakes and increase the productivity of all logistics process of the company. A good warehouse management system allows a better control of stocks, reduces human error and optimizes the processes and use of space. With the increasingly fierce competition, this gain in efficiency can be vital to a sector of supply, taking into account the need to minimise the costs of operations and stocks in storage (management of stocks just-in-time). In this perspective, and according to one of the missions assigned to the General Deposit of the Army Material which is to guarantee the storage according to superior determinations, it was asked a lot of effort in the Replenishment area that includes: the development of only one information system, the modernisation of refuelling and the accomplishment of a proper storage management in order to optimise resources and improve efficiency in the functioning of a warehouse.
