O presente relatório insere-se no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Estágio com
Relatório, integrada no 2º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na área
de especialização em Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica, da Escola Superior de
Saúde da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa de Lisboa.
Este documento visa evidenciar o percurso de aquisição e consolidação de
competências especializadas conducentes à atribuição do título de Enfermeiro
Especialista e ao grau académico de Mestre, de acordo com o enquadramento legal. A sua
prossecução evidencia-se na análise crítico-reflexiva do percurso formativo desenvolvido
em três ensinos clínicos, contemplando o circuito da pessoa em situação crítica em
contextos de urgência e emergência.
Neste âmbito, salienta-se a importância do desenvolvimento de competências
científicas, técnicas, éticas e relacionais para a prestação de cuidados especializados,
demonstrando pensamento crítico e tomada de decisão fundamentada em evidência
científica para a qualidade, segurança e ética no exercício profissional.
Neste percurso, centrado no cuidado à pessoa em situação crítica, emerge a
temática da Simulação Clínica em Paragem Cardiorrespiratória, constituindo um recurso
estratégico de crescente relevância na área da saúde e na formação especializada. Esta
metodologia permite a integração entre a teoria, prática e reflexão crítica, sendo apoiada
por evidências científicas crescentes quanto à sua eficácia e reconhecida como padrão de
excelência no desenvolvimento de competências em enfermagem. A integração nas
instituições de saúde, enquanto metodologia formativa complementar à prática, potencia
a qualidade e segurança dos cuidados, alinhando-se aos pressupostos do Enfermeiro
Mestre em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de especialização da pessoa em
situação crítica.
This report was developed within the scope of the Curricular Unit Internship with Report, part of the 2nd master’s Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing, specializing in Nursing Care for the Critically Ill Person, at the Escola Superior de Saúde da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, Lisbon. The document aims to demonstrate the process of acquisition and consolidation of specialized competencies required for the Specialist Nurse title and the academic degree of Master, in accordance with the current legal framework. This process is presented through a critical-reflective analysis of the training pathway undertaken in three clinical placements, covering the continuum of care for critically ill patients in emergency and critical care contexts. Within this framework, the development of scientific, technical, ethical, and relational competencies is highlighted as essential for the provision of specialized care, demonstrating critical thinking and evidence-based decision-making to ensure quality, safety, and ethical professional practice. In this training pathway, focusing on the care of critically ill patients, the theme of Clinical Simulation in Cardiorespiratory Arrest emerges as a strategic resource of growing relevance in healthcare and specialized nursing education. This methodology allows the integration of theory, practice, and critical reflection, being supported by increasing scientific evidence regarding its effectiveness and recognized as a standard of excellence in the development of nursing competencies. The integration of this approach in healthcare institutions, as a training methodology complementary to clinical practice, enhances the quality and safety of care, aligning with principles underlying Master’slevel training in Medical-Surgical Nursing, specializing in care of critically ill patients.
