Importância de Brincar e ser ativo no espaço exterior

O presente relatório visa aprofundar, de forma fundamentada, o tema que dá origem a este estudo “A importância de brincar e ser ativo no espaço exterior”.
Neste estudo exploratório e descritivo, revelou-se oportuno realizar uma investigação de natureza mista, através de um inquérito por questionário onde se reuniu e analisou as conceções de educadores de infância relativamente à importância que atribuem ao brincar ao ar-livre no quotidiano das crianças.
A pesquisa realizada reuniu amplo consenso acerca do posicionamento face a este tema, tendo em conta que a maioria dos educadores se encontram sensibilizados para a importância do ato do brincar e da criança ser ativa no espaço exterior, bem como as aprendizagens e benefícios que podem advir destes momentos.
Assim, reconhece-se que o espaço exterior é um recurso pedagógico complexo e rico em oportunidades educativas, embora, com a transformação e modernização da sociedade tem se vindo a refletir que as crianças passam tempo insuficiente a desfrutar de momentos ao ar-livre.
Assim sendo, os adultos, nomeadamente os educadores, surgem com um papel determinante e de grande responsabilidade, pois são eles que proporcionam às crianças, atividades no espaço exterior em meio educativo, que surge como uma alternativa pertinente e viável de ensino que poderia colmatar o desinteresse e o insucesso escolar.
Desta forma, é através destes momentos que as crianças, têm ou deveriam de ter a oportunidade de explorar diversos elementos naturais e correr riscos que desafiam e mostram ser motivadores e impulsionadores para a aprendizagem e para o desenvolvimento das crianças.
The aim of the present report is to delve, in a well-founded way, into the theme that saved as the basis of this study “The importance of playing and being active in the outdoors. In this exploratory and descriptive study, an opportunity arose to perform a mixed investigation, through a questionnaire survey where were gathered and analyzed the conceptions of early childhood educators about the importance they attribute to playing outdoors in children’s daily lives. The research carried out revealed a broad consensus in relation to this topic, considering that most educators are aware of the importance of the act of playing and of child activity in the outdoor space, as well as the learning and benefits that come from these moments. Thus, there is an acknowledgement that the outdoor space is a complex pedagogical resource and rich in educational opportunities, although, with the transformation and modernization of society, it has been remarked that children spend insufficient time enjoying moments outdoors. Therefore, adults, namely educators, have a determining role and great responsibility, for they are the ones who provide children with activities in the outdoor space in an educational environment, which appears as a relevant and viable teaching alternative that could overcome the lack of interest and academic failure. It is then, through these moments, that children have or should have the opportunity to explore different natural elements and take risks that challenge them and that show to be motivating and driving forces for children’s learning and development.
