Este Relatório Final foi realizado no ano letivo de 2022/2023, no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e de Português e História e Geografia de Portugal no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, na Unidade Curricular de Prática Educativa II, numa turma do 5.º ano de escolaridade.
Com base na utilização da Metodologia por Descoberta Guiada visou-se a promoção de aprendizagens significativas na disciplina de História e Geografia de Portugal.
No âmbito das Aprendizagens Essenciais optou-se, para a intervenção realizada, pelo subdomínio “Portugal no século XIII” integrado no domínio “Portugal do século XIII ao século XVII” (Direção Geral da Educação, 2018).
Como objetivos do estudo definiram-se os seguintes: suscitar o gosto pelo conhecimento do passado, promover aprendizagens significativas mediante o recurso à Aprendizagem por Descoberta Guiada e compreender a organização económica e social de Portugal no século XIII.
Para a operacionalização do trabalho, recorrendo-se à Metodologia de Aprendizagem por Descoberta Guiada, foi proposta a realização de uma Ficha Inicial, procurando-se identificar conhecimentos prévios dos alunos sobre a matéria a abordar, sendo depois apresentados três guiões orientadores de trabalhos de grupo, seguindo-se a esses trabalhos a elaboração das respetivas sínteses. Por último, foi proposta a realização de uma ficha, que designámos Ficha Final, tendo em vista compreender a evolução das aprendizagens dos alunos.
Ao longo do processo, e optando-se pela metodologia de Investigação-Ação, procurou-se aplicar as diferentes fases dessa metodologia que, de acordo com Fonseca (2012), se desenvolvem continuamente e de forma cíclica, passando pela “planificação, ação, observação, reflexão, avaliação e reformulação” (p.20).
This Final Report was carried out in the academic year 2022/2023, within the scope of the master’s degree in teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, in the Curricular Unit of Educational Practice II, in a 5th year class. Based on the use of Guided Discovery Methodology, the aim was to promote significant learning in the discipline of History and Geography of Portugal. Within the scope of Essential Learning, the subdomain “Portugal in the 13th century” was chosen for the intervention carried out, integrated into the domain “Portugal from the 13th century to the 17th century” (Ministry of Education, 2018). The objectives of the study were defined as the following: to arouse a taste for knowledge of the past, to promote meaningful learning using Guided Discovery Learning and to understand the economic and social organization of Portugal in the 13th century. To operationalize the work, using the Guided Discovery Learning Methodology, it was proposed to create an Initial Sheet, seeking to identify students' prior knowledge on the subject to be addressed, and then three guiding scripts for group work were presented, followed by These works are used to prepare the respective syntheses. Finally, it was proposed to create a form, which we called Final Form, with a view to understanding the evolution of students' learning.
