Abstract(s)
Cada vez mais as empresas têm de estar atualizadas, de tomar decisões e de que as
mesmas garantam a funcionalidade e o sucesso do seu trabalho. Proporcionando as novas
tecnologias, as ferramentas indicadas para um mundo baseado em dados, tendo as
organizações que se preparar, de forma a conseguir armazenar, processar e analisar toda a
informação produzida.
Na atualidade a empresa em estudo dispôe de ferramentas informáticas como o
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), o Warehouse Management System (WMS) e portais
online de acesso aos clientes internos e externos à organização, que disponibilizam dados
corporativos, não estruturados e não interligados. Estas ferramentas não permitem uma
eficiente interpretação da informação por falta de capacidades de análise.
Desta forma este projeto efetuou um levantamento de requisitos de necessidades
informacionais dos stakeholders, elaborou uma seleção dos mesmos e a definição de
potenciais indicadores de desempenho, obtidos através dos dados operacionais da atividade
da organização.
De modo a agilizar a aferição e a tomada de decisão, foi desenvolvida uma ferramenta
de Business Intelligence para produzir uma análise adaptada à empresa em estudo, com base
numa profunda revisão de literatura.
O modelo de dados escolhido permitiu definir os detalhes da recolha de dados, sendo
sujeito a um tratamento e estruturado, segundo um modelo analítico com diversas tabelas de
dimensão e de factos. Este projeto disponibiliza à organização uma nova capacidade de
análise de parâmetros operacionais e comerciais, permite ainda estabelecer relações entre
os dados e a visualização através de dashboard personalizados.
Constituindo as ferramentas de Business Intelligence um pilar importante, que ao tratar
e analisar os dados, auxiliam na tomada de decisão e consequentemente contribuem para a
melhoria e sucesso dos negócios.

Currently, the company under study has informatic tools such as the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and online portals for accessing internal and external customers to the organization, which provide unstructured and unconnected corporate data. These tools do not allow an efficient interpretation of information due to lack of analysis capabilities. This project searched for informational needs of the stakeholders, prepared a selection of them and the definition of potential performance indicators, obtained through the operational data of the organization's activity. In order to improve and accelerate measurement and decision making, a Business Intelligence tool was developed to produce an adapted analysis to the company under study, based on a thorough literature review. The chosen data model allowed defining the data collection details and then subject them to treatment and structured, according to an analytical model with several dimension and fact tables. This project provides the organization with a new ability to analyze operational and commercial parameters, as well as establishing relationships between data and visualization through personalized dashboards.
