A utilização do
The promotion of women's comfort throughout the pregnancy puerperal cycle is a central aspect of care provided by the midwife, contributing to the humanization and quality of care. In this context, Katherine Kolcaba`s Comfort Theory was adopted as the theoretical framework, emphasizing comfort as the focus of nursing care. This report aims to analyze the use of the rebozo as an autonomous intervention of the midwife in promoting women's comfort during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period, as well as -level competencies. The methodology was based on a narrative literature review, conducted across different scientific databases and complemented with grey literature, as well as on a reflective analysis of the practice developed in the context of clinical placements. Throughout the clinical placements, it was possible to apply and integrate the acquired knowledge, developing scientific, technical, ethical, and relational competencies. The use of the rebozo proved to be an effective strategy in promoting comfort, mobility, and labor progression, contributing to a more positive experience for women. It is concluded that the rebozo is a relevant non-pharmacological intervention with the potential to improve the quality and humanization of care provided by the midwife, reinforcing its importance in clinical practice.
