Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como propósito estudar a ligação entre saúde mental e o estilo de
liderança aplicado aos polícias da Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP). Para além dessa
possível correlação, constitui também parte do objetivo deste trabalho estudar possíveis
boas práticas que promovam um bom ambiente de trabalho com foco na saúde mental dos
polícias.
Os tempos cada vez mais exigentes tornam urgente que os líderes se preocupem com todos
os prismas da vida dos seus liderados. É sua a responsabilidade pela promoção de um bom
ambiente laboral, focado nas pessoas e no seu desenvolvimento, quer intelectual, quer
motivacional.
Após a análise aprofundada, concluiu-se que existe uma ligação direta entre o estilo de
liderança e a saúde mental dos polícias, assim como foram elencadas diversas boas práticas
e procedimentos para melhorar essa temática no seio da PSP.
The present study aimed to analyze the link between mental health and the leadership style applied to the Portuguese police. In addition to this possible interconnection, it was aimed to study possible good practices that promote a good work environment focused on the mental health of police officers. Increasingly demanding times make it urgent for leaders to worry about all the prisms of their leadership's lives. It’s the leader’s responsibility to promote a good work environment, focused on people and their development, both intellectual and motivational. It was concluded that there is a link between the leadership style and the promotion of good mental health, as well as several good practices and procedures to improve this theme within the police.
