Abstract(s)
A História de Angola e das suas Forças Armadas é marcada por um período de grande instabilidade associada a um conflito interno, que vai desde a sua independência em 1975 até ao alcançar da paz definitiva em 2002. O atribulado processo de paz culminou com os Acordos de Paz de Luena, assinados em 4 abril de 2002, pelas Forças Armadas Angolanas (FAA) e as Forças Militares da UNITA, mudando desta forma o rumo da História do país e das FAA. É neste contexto que se enquadra o presente Trabalho de Investigação, subordinado ao tema “Os Impactos da Estabilidade e do Desenvolvimento Económico-Social nas Forças Armadas Angolanas (2002-2012) ”.
Os dez primeiros anos de paz consecutiva que Angola registou na sua História recente, permitiram ao país alcançar um desenvolvimento que não foi possível registar ao longo dos anos de conflito, que influenciou a edificação e criação das FAA. É neste âmbito que surgem os objetivos desta investigação científica, que vão de encontro à necessidade de confirmar ou invalidar as hipóteses formuladas inicialmente, com o desígnio de responder às perguntas derivadas que foram enumeradas e, finalmente, responder à pergunta de partida levantada.
De forma a responder a estas perguntas, seguiu-se a NEP 520/DE/30JUN11/AM (2011) e a Metodologia Científica para a Elaboração e Escrita de Teses, proposta pela American Psychological Association, na qual a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, os inquéritos por entrevistas e as observações foram os procedimentos de recolha de informação utilizadas.
No final da investigação conclui-se que no período compreendido entre 2002 e 2012, Angola registou um desenvolvimento acentuado, com base no crescimento do seu Produto Interno Bruto, o que permitiu um maior investimento no setor da saúde, da educação e ainda no setor militar, de modo a fazer face às vulnerabilidades que estes setores apresentavam, como resultado do longo período de guerra que o país viveu.
Conclui-se, também, que os investimentos no âmbito militar visam a formação de quadros, a construção e reabilitação das infraestruturas e a melhoria do apoio social aos militares, visando uma profissionalização das FAA, num período sem conflito
Abstract The History of Angola and that of its Armed Forces has been marked by a period of great instability, associated with a conflict which started at the time of Angola’s Independence in 1975, up to the time peace was reached in 2002. The turbulent process to achieve peace culminated with the Peace Agreements of Luena, signed on the 4th April 2002, by the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and by UNITA´s Military Forces, thus changing the course of the country’s History and that of the FAA. It is in this context that the present Research Work on the subject “The Impacts of Stability and Economic-Social Development in the Angolan Armed Forces (2002-2012)”, is set. The first ten years of peace that Angola recorded on its History, allowed the country to register a development which had not been possible during the course of the years of the conflict and in certain ways, that had an influence in the Angolan Armed Forces. It is in this framework, that the objectives of this scientific research arise, objectives which meet the need to confirm or rule out the possibilities initially formulated, with the goal to give answers to the derived questions that were listed and finally, to give an answer to the starting question. With the means to answer these questions, the NEP 520/DE/30JUN11/AM (2011) and the Scientific Methodology for the Elaboration and Writing of Thesis, proposed by American Psychological Association, was followed. In which the bibliographic and documentary research, the surveys supported by interviews and the observations, were the procedures used in the gathering of information. The study concludes that in the period between 2002 and 2012, Angola recorded a strong growth, based on the Gross Domestic Product, which allowed an higher investment in the health, education and the military sectors, in order to face the vulnerabilities which these sectors presented, as a result of the long period of war that the country lived. It is also concluded that the investments in the military context, aim the training for staff, the building and rehabilitation of the infrastructures and the improvement of social support to the militar
