Num contexto económico fortemente marcado pela temática da transformação digital, é
importante que as empresas definam uma estratégia e um roadmap para a mudança digital.
A transição de uma lógica organizativa tradicional para uma digital não é imediata,
obrigando a uma rearquitectura de processos, dos Sistemas de Informação e mesmo da estrutura
organizacional.
A empresa escolhida para análise pertence ao setor de construção civil. O estudo de caso
consiste na identificação e detalhe de alguns procedimentos operacionais, no campo dos
sistemas de informação e consequente diagnóstico da transição para um cenário digital,
preparando-os para novos cenários de competitividade global, analisando as dimensões intra e
extra-organizacionais que devem ser consideradas no processo de transformação.
A gestão operacional da empresa em causa, encontra-se assente em processos
tradicionais, onde o registo de dados é maioritariamente manuscrito. Desta forma, seria
vantajoso utilizar sistemas de gestão de conhecimento, preparando a empresa para a entrada
numa economia digital, tendência cada vez mais generalizada. Esta permite o aumento da
eficiência e produtividade das operações, através da melhoria da produção, arquivo, e gestão do
conhecimento, no âmbito das suas operações.
In an economic context strongly marked by the theme of digital transformation, it is imperative that companies define a strategy and a roadmap for digital transition. The transition from a traditional organizational logic to a digital one is not immediate, forcing a readjustment of the processes, of the Information Systems and even of the organizational structure. The company selected for analysis belongs to the civil construction sector. The case study will consist in identifying and detailing operational procedures in the field of information systems and consequent diagnosis of the transition to a digital scenario, preparing it for new global competitiveness scenarios, analysing the intra and extra-organizational dimensions that should be considered in the process of transformation. The operational management of the company is based on traditional procedures, where data recording is mostly handwritten. It would be beneficial to use knowledge management systems, preparing the company for an increasingly widespread trend, such as the digital economy. This will allow the increase in efficiency and productivity of processes, through the improvement of production, archive, and knowledge management, in the scope of its operations.
